Catechesis is teaching. In the last chapter of Matthew, teaching is part of what Jesus instructed His apostles to do to make disciples of all nations (baptizing and teaching them). In the church, teaching isn’t just about cramming information into our heads; rather, the hearing and study of God’s Word is used by the Holy Spirit to create and sustain faith. That means catechesis is for all ages and all times in life—enrollment can begin in the womb, and our funeral service could be considered our graduation ceremony.
In addition to
worship services,
there are many opportunities for study at Peace, and a number of
resources
for being in the Word of God at home and as a family.
