Rev. Micah R. Gaunt
Micah did most of his growing up in Orchard Farm, Missouri, a rural area outside the city of St. Charles. After high school, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Concordia University, Nebraska in Seward. While at Seward he participated in the A Capella choir and studied one semester in England.
However, his most successful endeavor was meeting and marrying his wife, Dawn (née Cornelius), who hails from Grant, Nebraska. Upon graduation, Pr. and Mrs. Gaunt, moved to Houston, Texas where Micah taught literature and theology for Lutheran High North. His work there included revamping the religion curriculum and overseeing the chapel services.
In 2003, the Gaunt's moved to St. Louis where Micah began his seminary training which included a vicarage in Enid, Oklahoma. He received his first call to Bethlehem and Zion Lutheran Churches in Ravenna and North Shelton, Nebraska, where he served since 2007.
Micah enjoys reading, live music, percussion, and sitting in tree stands. Pastor Gaunt and his family are excited to join the congregation at Peace, and to see what the Lord does among us by the power of His Holy Word.
